Squats
1x135,225,315,405,495,585- super easy today
0x635- pissed cuz 585 was really easy and this I just fell out of my groove

Side Handle Deadlift Machine- for grip on frame
10x3 plates, 4 plates, 5 plates each side

Pullthroughs
3x12x200

Grip Shit
3x12

Missing 635 was gayer than aids, but I am happy 585 was that easy in just a belt. I definately feel as strong as I have ever been. I weighed 260.2 when I got back so my weight is right on track and I feel very skinny.

Are you still doing Summerfest? Your name wasn't on the latest list Pete posted.

I have gotten a few emails asking me that. I am still doing Summerfest. I forgot to get my application in before the deadline that raised it $50, so I figured if I am going to pay the extra $50 I am going to weight until I make weight since there is no true cutoff. I am at 258 right now and the cut should not be bad. I am way more lean at 258 than I was last fall when I started at 250-255.

what the hell are you missing singles with that dumbbell for? That is the first thing in the medley isn't it?

Yea but it is really tricky. As you can see in the video the thing is massive which makes it hard to press. The db is the only hard thing in that medley which is why I am doing it first. I think there will be a decent amount of people that miss the db that could easily hit a normal db in training. You can go any order you want in the medley so I will go db, log, and axle cuz the db is hardest with log second and the axle is easy.

Circus DB
4 singles nice and easy today

Finger
1 rep

Tire
5 flips

Today was just technique work. Last workout before summerfest other than restoration work. Time to let my body heal and get my mind right. As of right now I feel great. I know I have done every event except the 405 stone and feel confident I can post some decent numbers. It is a stacked lineup though and whoever is on that day will walk away a winner.

Decided to post more info on my weight cut, because people generally have alot of questions about it. I have not been consuming carbs for about 3 weeks now and will continue this all week. Weighed in at 255 this morning and have successfully lost 30 lbs since rugby got over towards the end of May. I took measurements on May 18 at 285 and yesterday at 255.
5/18 6/28
Neck 18 17.25
Bicep 17.5 17.25
Forearm 13.75 13.25
Chest 50.5 49.5
Waist 42.25 37.5
Hips 42 40.5
Thigh 30 29.25
Calf 18.25 18

I lost some size all around but most of it was in the stomach area which is what I wanted. I feel pretty lean right now. I will never be bodybuilder lean but I am athletic lean.

Today I will drink 2 gallons of water to start my water load and cut. Also do restoration work which is foam rolling followed by epsom salt bath followed by foam rolling followed by stretching.

Cool. Are you following the Matt Kroc method of water cutting? 25lbs is a lot, but if you can do it, you'll be in great shape for the contest the next day.

Anyone from around here heading up to watch this? If there aren't any interesting plans for that day I'd be interested in going. But then again I felt like a total fucking dork last year at Kokomo watching a contest I wasn't in, so maybe I'm better off just reading about it.

I am using Kroc's method. Thats the ebst way to do it naturally. It would be way easier if I used diuretics, but honestly I am way to scared to do that. Summerfest is a huge party so watching would be a blast. I know I am getting hammered as soon as my last stone is loaded.

My plan is:

Mon- 2 gallons of water

Tues- 3 gallons of water

Wed- 3 gallons of water

Thurs 2.5 gallons of water by 4 pm
At 4pm have a peanut butter sandwhich with last of water then nothing
After meal start cutting process which is-
15 min hot bath followed by 15 min in steam room- which is my bathroom haha followed by 10 min break
Repeat that until 10pm
Weigh in and if I am happy sleep til 8 if not happy wake up at 4 or 5

Friday- cut water all day and weigh ins are either at 4 or 5

As soon as I get done I chug a half gallon of smart water and a half gallon of gatorade
Then I drive to Chipotle and eat as much as I can without puking and keep drinking
Goal is to be 255-260 by the time I go to bed
Wake up and eat whatever I feel like it and keep hydrating
