The fair Board is 90% sure they will be able to offer at least $200.00 to the top spot from each wt class (200, 231, 265, 266+).

As of right now we have "0" signed up however i most likely will limit the number of athletes for each wt class to 10 (40 total).

I'll add more info as ot comes in.

Originally I posted that we will be taking only the first 10 from each wt class. Lately though I have had several e-mails and phone calls for the 231 class.
So this what I will do....
We will take the first 40 total not ten from each class.

I'll be posting the updated athlete listing in the next day or so.
Also, had a meeting with Kent Weeks today at the Champaign County Fairgrounds.
Everything is a go. Looking forward to having the meet there.
It's really a cool venue.
Also will be sending out info either later tonight or tomorrow.

This is going to be a great contest, all the weight classes are stacked. I'm excited to watch it. Tony did a great job getting a GREAT venue for this. See everyone in Champaign

ILLINOIS STRONGEST MAN

The contest was a success. Went fairly well. I would like to thank Kent Weeks and the Champaign County Fair for allowing us to use their venue. Also would like to thank all the competitors for giving it their all and above all else I'd like to thank the staff (my wife Anna, Danielle Kusman, Jeff Douglas and his buddy Daryl(?), John Beatty, Frank Clarke, Mike Noble, Nick Keaty, Scott Tofari, Daniel McCarron, Alex Camacho, Byron Hicks, and Adam Marks). It was our staff that made the contest a success.

We really lucked out with the weather. The night before there had been a thunder storm run through the area and pretty much inundated everything.

Contest had slight late start due to some unforseen issues however once the ball was rolling, we were able to get the last guy done on the last event by 3:30pm. The awards presentation was presented by the newly crowned Miss Champaign County Fair.

Dan's wrist has been bugging him quite a bit lately. He thought it best to forego competing and rest the boo-boo some more.
